71st annual Stars of Tomorrow Youth Talent Show- Day media


Kiwanis is proud to host our 71st annual Stars of Tomorrow Youth Talent Show on February 20th, 2016.  If you can sing, dance, play an instrument, or have a fun or unusual talent – WE WANT YOU!  Auditions start January 23rd and 24th but first, you
need to sign up!  

AUDITIONS

  • January 23rd and 24th, 2016 – Location and specific times: to be determined.
  • THERE WILL BE A $10 FEE (PER ACT) PAYABLE AT THE AUDITIONS
  • Show is limited to Poudre School District and Fort Collins area youth
  • Exact timing and location of auditions will be assigned depending on the participant’s talent, instrument needs and schedule.
  • Walk in auditions cannot be accepted – please apply today
  • Deadline for applications – January 18th, 2016

SHOWTIME

  • Saturday, February 20th, 2016 (Showtime to be determined)
  • The CSU University Center for the Arts (East Lake and Remington)

Cash Prizes
  • Grand Prize: $1,000
  • 1st Place (each age group): $200
  • The People’s Choice: $100
Age Groups
  • Elementary School (k-5)
  • Middle School (6-8)
  • High School (9-12)
Judging and Performance Criteria
The judges’ goal is to put together an entertaining, diverse and balanced show for the audience. The judges base their decisions on the following:
  • Quality/difficulty of talent
  • Skill level
  • Stage showmanship
  • Audience appeal
What types of talents are we looking for?
In short, the sky is the limit! Last year’s show boasted a variety of talents from singing, dancing, and jam skating to martial arts, classical violin and ballet.
Time Limit
You  have 5 minutes to perform your talent.
Group Acts
Group acts are welcome. Groups will be placed in the age category of their oldest member.
