Lionel Messi rules out leaving Barcelona for another European club but star admits he could hang up his boots in Argentina

Lionel Messi has ruled out leaving Spanish giants Barcelona for another European club ‒ although the superstar hinted he could return to Argentina before hanging up his boots.

Messi, who scooped his fifth Ballon d'Or crown earlier this month, has been linked with Premier League title contenders Manchester City and French league leaders Paris Saint-Germain. 

But the Barcelona superstar has ruled out leaving the La Liga side for City or PSG by insisting he could never 'play for another European club than Barcelona'.
