Former England centre-back Rio Ferdinand has said that Cristiano Ronaldo was the butt of dressing-room jokes when the Portuguese played at Manchester United last decade.
Ferdinand was responding to Ronaldo's assertion that he and his old Manchester United teammates rarely spoke off the pitch.
Ronaldo has faced mounting criticism that he does not appear to have as close a relationship with his fellow Real Madrid forwards as that shared byBarcelona's Lionel Messi, Luis Suarezand Neymar.
After seeing Ronaldo's comments, Ferdinand said on BT Sport: "He's gone off me! He used to live next door to me. Unbelievable! He didn't like my cooking.
"I actually used to take the mick out of him in the changing rooms, I think he's got the hump.
"He used to live next door to me!" @rioferdy5 gutted after@Cristiano says he was never that close to him! #UCLhttps://t.co/QDGaeFyut0
